Hawzah News Agency- Hojatoleslam Seyyed Mohammad Reza Sadr, a member of the Committee of Invitees and Ceremonies, highlighted the successful organization of the third edition of the competitions in the holy city of Qom, Iran. He said the event—now considered one of the key educational and spiritual gatherings in Iran—benefited greatly from the participation of students from across Iran, the Persian Gulf, and several African nations, many of whom are affiliated with Al-Mustafa International University.
“Hosting this gathering for the third consecutive year in Qom has allowed us to offer competitors a meaningful and spiritually enriching experience,” Sadr said. “With the support and expertise of our colleagues at the General Directorate of Endowments and Charity Affairs of Qom Province, we have witnessed clear progress in both the qualitative and quantitative dimensions of the event compared to previous years. We thank God that we were able to create lasting memories for those devoted to the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).”
Hojatoleslam Sadr emphasized the need to broaden the international profile of the competitions, particularly through targeted outreach to Muslim-majority countries. He said that expanding foreign participation would not only strengthen cultural and scholarly exchange but also help dispel misconceptions about Iran.
He further stressed that increasing interaction among Muslim nations through such events allows Iran to showcase its organizational capabilities and the high standards of its educational competitions. “By enhancing participation and collaboration, we can clearly present the strengths of the event—from the facilities to the judging procedures—to the global Islamic community,” he noted.
Sadr said that with coordinated support from both national and international media, Qom’s position as a hub of Islamic scholarship and educational competitions can be strengthened further. He described the event as a unique opportunity for Iran to expand its cultural and intellectual footprint on the global stage.
The National and International Educational Competitions of the Holy Quran, Nahjul-Balagha, and Sahifa Sajjadiyya will be held from December 10 to 16, 2025, at the Imamzadeh Shah Seyyed Ali (peace be upon him) Conference Hall in Qom.
