Hawzah News Agency - According to "The palestinian information center", Earlier, the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced that the number of child deaths in the Gaza Strip due to cold and lack of shelter has risen to seven, in light of the ongoing Israeli war on the Strip.
UNRWA added in a statement issued on Sunday evening, that “cold weather and lack of shelter are causing the death of newborns in Gaza, while 7,700 newborns lack life-saving care, confirming that at least seven children have died so far due to cold in the Strip.
The displaced Palestinians have been living in tents made of cloth and nylon, under harsh humanitarian conditions due to the scarcity of life essentials such as water and food, in addition to a severe shortage of clothing, blankets and heating devices during the winter.
