Thanks to the efforts of Imam Ali Shrine (PBUH), the provinces of Iraq were decorated with Ghadir flags on the occasion of Eid al-Ghadir.

Hawzah News Agency- with the efforts of Imam Ali Shrine (PBUH), on the occasion of the Great Eid al-Ghadir which marks the anniversary of the appointment of Amir al-Momenin Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him) as the Caliph of the Muslims after Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his progeny), the Iraqi provinces are witnessing the holding of wide celebrations and different cities of Iraq rejoice and are decorated with Ghadir flags as a sign of the beginning of the activities of this great occasion.

Haider Rahim, the head of the media department of Imam Ali Holy Shrine, spoke on these activities and accompanying programs, saying,” Many religious, cultural, and voluntary organizations participate in the celebration of this blessed Eid by setting up various activities.”

He continued to say that among these activities are raising the flags of Eid al-Ghadir and holding festivals and poetry readings to raise awareness about the importance of this religious occasion.

Rahim went on to say that among the most prominent events that have been held so far were the events that were held in Amerli region with the coordination of Grand Ayatollah Sistani's representative with the raising of the Ghadir flag and various social ceremonies, and in Diyala province, the al-Mahdi Volunteer Group raised the Ghadir flag in different parts of the province.

He further said,” In the case of Basra, Ahbab Al-Zahra Cultural Foundation and Qamar Bani Hashem Institute (peace be upon him) started the activities by raising the biggest flag in the province. In Baghdad, the Kafil Zeinab Volunteer Foundation (peace be upon her) started its activities and they will be held at Al-Mustansariyeh University and the International Stadium of this city.”

Ayatollah Sistani's representative in Mothna, in cooperation with Imam al-Qaim's delegation, will also hold a celebration and raise Ghadir flags.

Imam Sadiq (PBUH) Foundation for Voluntary Works in Dhi Qar province organizes various activities in this province and the "Qalae Sekar" area witnessed the ceremony of raising the Ghadiri flag by the Um Abiha delegation.

The same thing happened in the city of Samaveh, Ghadir flags are raised by the youth department of Rumitha and the volunteers of Holy Shrines in Rumitha region.

In the Wasit and Basra provinces in the Al-Deir region, the secretariat of Nahj Al-Husseini Foundation organizes its activities on this occasion for the followers of Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT).

These activities are organized to emphasize the commitment to the guardianship of Hazrat Amirul Momineen Ali (peace be upon him) and his life and the depth of faith and belief in this great religious occasion among the followers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in Iraq.
