The strength of the Islamic nation lies in the light of unity

Tehran– The representative of the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament stressed the need to expand bridges of trust among Muslims, emphasizing that the strength of the Islamic nation lies in the light of unity.

Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 39th International Conference on Islamic Unity, Salah Wakhs, representative of Nabih Berri, Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, conveyed the greetings of the Lebanese people and parliament to the nation of Iran. He also offered condolences over the martyrdom of a number of Iranian commanders, scholars, and civilians in the recent hostile aggression of the Zionist regime.

Wakhs underlined that actions must be planned around the unity of the word and based on the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH), as emphasized by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in confronting global arrogance.

He described unity as the pillar of Islam that safeguards the religion and makes it a source of pride, adding that colonialism and oppression remain among the main challenges facing the Islamic world. “The Islamic world is like a single body; if one part suffers, the entire body feels the pain,” he said.

Marking the anniversary of the disappearance of Imam Musa Sadr, Wakhs recalled his stance that Israel represents absolute evil, stressing that the Zionist regime is the sworn enemy of Muslims and must be confronted collectively.

The Lebanese representative further referred to the Zionist regime’s ongoing aggression against Gaza over the past two years, as well as its violations of Lebanese sovereignty. He said that the unity of the Islamic nation must go beyond slogans and its focus should be directed toward countering the Zionist regime.

Reiterating the call for building trust among Muslim nations, he concluded that the true strength of the Islamic nation emerges from the light of unity. Wakhs also affirmed Lebanon’s support for the Islamic Republic of Iran in promoting dialogue among Islamic countries and in developing peaceful nuclear technology.
