Hawzah News Agency- Speaking during a visit to accommodation facilities for pilgrims at the Navvab Advanced Seminary School in Mashhad, Hojatoleslam Khayyat, Director of the Khorasan Seminary, welcomed attendees and stated that their presence has brought blessings to the venue. "By divine grace, tomorrow will witness a magnificent and powerful presence through the collective will of the people and the entire Islamic Ummah," he said.
"What we have witnessed over the past week, from Friday until now, is an event that can confidently be described as rare, if not unprecedented, in this century and even in recent centuries," he added. "What is unfolding in Iran today for our martyred Imam has perhaps never occurred for any ruler in any period of history. The opportunity to fully analyze all dimensions of this great event has not yet arisen, and the world remains in a state of shock and astonishment at this tragedy and what is transpiring in Iran."
The seminary director continued: "What we saw in Iraq, particularly upon the arrival of his blessed body at Najaf airport and the scenes broadcast by the media, showcased a manifestation of the devotion, affection, and profound love of the Islamic Ummah for this beloved Imam."
He stressed that the late leader was not merely the leader of Iran's Islamic Revolution but, beyond his status as a Shia religious authority, served as an Imam for the entire Islamic Ummah, who, throughout more than six decades of struggle, never ceased striving for the dignity, greatness, and elevation of Islam and Muslims. "He entered the arena of struggle from his teenage years and continued tirelessly on this path until the moment he attained the lofty station of martyrdom in missile strikes carried out by the greatest criminals in history," Khayyat stated.
"What we are witnessing today is not an ordinary occurrence but a manifestation of divine will that, on the occasion of this great Imam's martyrdom, has brought the Islamic Ummah closer together," Khayyat noted. "This Imam, whose entire blessed life was spent in service to Islam and Muslims, has, through his martyrdom, created a tremendous social capital for Iran, the Islamic Revolution, and the Islamic Ummah alike."
He continued: "What has occurred, and what we are still witnessing, is that post-conflict Iran is no longer the Iran of before. The standing of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the world has fundamentally shifted, and nations now look upon Iran with respect and reverence. All of this stems from the blessings of the existence and the martyrdom of this beloved and noble Imam."
Khayyat noted that all have gathered to play a role in completing the final chapter of this great event and to ensure tomorrow's ceremony is held in the best possible manner, describing it as "the very least we can offer in return for the services and sacrifices of that beloved Imam."
"If I were to enumerate the rights this great Imam holds over each and every one of us, I would need to speak for hours. Truly, he holds rights over us all," he said. "Many of us did not experience the pre-Revolution era and did not witness first-hand the humiliations and weaknesses this nation endured over more than two centuries. But through the blessings of the Islamic Revolution, this nation rose to dignity, and through the blessings of this martyred Imam's leadership, such honor and pride were forged that today every Iranian, wherever in the world, takes pride in being Iranian."
Pointing to the presence of Iranian pilgrims at this year's Hajj, he said: "We thank God that, contrary to certain efforts to prevent the Hajj from taking place, this spiritual journey was undertaken, and we saw that the very presence of Iranian pilgrims was a source of honor and pride—so much so that people from various countries wished to take commemorative photos with an Iranian pilgrim. This status of the Iranian nation is the result of the blessings of the Islamic Revolution and the sacrifices of the martyred Imam."
"All the rhetoric and atmospherics being generated by the enemies today stem from desperation," Khayyat emphasized. "They have been dealt such a blow, sustained such damage, and their superpower prestige has been so thoroughly trampled that they will be unable to recover it for many years to come. This is the honor of Islamic Iran and among the blessings of the legacy and school of thought the martyred Imam bequeathed to this nation."
He added: "Another right this great Imam holds over us is the authority the Islamic Republic of Iran enjoys today. Iran's voice is heard in the world, and world powers are compelled to align their decisions, actions, and calculations with those made in Iran. The maneuvers of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz impact the global economy. This authority is the fruit of the martyred Imam's strategic vision, who, over decades and despite all hardships, pressures, and sanctions, strived for the Iranian nation to achieve dignity and authority, and laid the groundwork for the formation of powerful armed forces that today project strength across the world."
The director of the Khorasan Seminary expressed hope that the martyred leader would be pleased with them. "Indeed, this compassionate Imam had repeatedly stated that he was satisfied with the Iranian nation. Truly, the Iranian people delivered on every occasion he called upon them, and whenever he willed it, the nation turned out wholeheartedly. The latest manifestation of this profound bond was the people's participation in the 22 Bahman rallies last year, for which he specifically expressed his satisfaction with this nation and the people's efforts."
"We hope we too are granted the satisfaction of that beloved Imam," he said. "Today, in the final stages of the funeral ceremonies, we will once again display the profound bond between the Imam and the Ummah, and the unbreakable connection between the Leadership and the nation, to the world."
"This presence, besides sending a decisive and crushing message to the enemies and making them aware of the reality of Islamic Iran, is a great source of reassurance for all the oppressed of the world, filling them with hope for the future this system will shape," he continued.
Hojatoleslam Khayyat concluded: "This great movement is also a renewal of allegiance and a pledge to the current Imam of the community and the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei. We pledge to him that we will continue the path charted by the martyred Imam under his eminence's guidance and leadership, and as the martyred Imam promised, with God's help, we shall conquer the peaks of glory, which are not far off."
