Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at a coordination meeting for the funeral prayer over the pure body of the martyred leader, Hojatoleslam Ali Akbar Ojaghnejad stated: "All executive and service capacities must be mobilized to facilitate the greatest possible public participation in the funeral procession of the pure body of the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution in the holy city of Qom, so that this rite is etched into the memory of the Iranian nation as a historic and immortal event."
He further revealed that a high-level session had been convened with the presence of the representative of the Office of the Supreme Leader, the governor of Qom, the commander of the provincial Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the commander of the Law Enforcement Forces, and a gathering of provincial officials. "The most critical matters concerning the most magnificent possible staging of this ceremony were thoroughly examined," he added.
Jamkaran Chosen by the Martyred Leader's Household
The custodian of the Holy Jamkaran Mosque emphasized: "In accordance with the explicit directive of the esteemed household of the martyred leader and the Office of the Supreme Leader, the funeral prayer over the pure body must be performed at the Holy Jamkaran Mosque. For this reason, the servants of this sacred threshold have, through round-the-clock efforts, prepared the necessary groundwork for this spiritual and historic ceremony."
With the infrastructure now in place, he called on all responsible bodies to act with complete coordination, stating: "Now that the required preparations have been made, it is expected that all responsible institutions, in full harmony, will prioritize the necessary measures to facilitate the massive presence of the people and the glorious staging of the ceremony."
Planning Underway for a Million-Strong Sea of Mourners
Underscoring the imperative of meticulous planning for a turnout in the millions, Hojatoleslam Ojaghnejad said: "In light of the emphasis by the esteemed household of the martyred leader, officials must, alongside preparing for the funeral prayer, create the necessary conditions for the funeral procession to be held with the sweeping participation of the faithful and revolutionary masses in the holy city of Qom."
He stressed that every avenue and route capable of accommodating mourners must be utilized: "The desire and insistence of all is that the opportunity for greater numbers of people to attend be provided, so that devotees may bid farewell to their martyred leader in the holy city of Qom. Accordingly, it is expected that every point along the route of the procession where public presence is possible be put to use, so that an even larger multitude can participate in this historic event."
A Moment for the Ages: Scholars, and the Masses Unite
Highlighting the monumental significance of the occasion in the annals of the Islamic Revolution, Hojatoleslam Ojaghnejad declared: "It is hoped that with the presence of the grand sources of emulation, the professors of the Islamic seminaries, the scholars, thinkers, and intellectuals, along with domestic and international guests and all strata of the people, the funeral ceremony of the martyred leader of the Revolution in Qom will stand as one of the most glorious and enduring ceremonies in the history of the Islamic Revolution."
He concluded by reaffirming the total commitment of the Holy Jamkaran Mosque to this sacred mission: "The servants of the Holy Jamkaran Mosque are devoting their full capacity to the staging of this momentous spiritual event and to serving the pilgrims and participants. We hope that with the solidarity of all institutions, a farewell befitting the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution will be realized in the holy city of Qom."
