A Geopolitical Earthquake: West Bewildered as Iran's Millions March

A political analyst has stated that the massive turnout for the funeral and farewell ceremonies of the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution has sent tremors through global geopolitical calculations, forcing even hostile Western media outlets to acknowledge the historic event.

Hawzah News Agency- Dr. Dariush Safarnejad, a political affairs expert, pointed to the worldwide media coverage of the ceremonies, stating that outlets tied to Zionist and American interests were left disoriented by the sheer magnitude of the event. "Despite efforts by the US- and Zionist-funded media apparatus to downplay this monumental occasion, they simply could not ignore it. They found themselves bewildered in the face of this historic happening," he remarked.

He noted that the funeral procession dominated front pages and headlines across America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and beyond, and is certain to remain among the top international news stories in the days ahead. "No matter how hard Western media may try to suppress this story, they will fail," Safarnejad asserted.

The analyst cited a striking admission published by an American outlet: "What makes this funeral unique is the transformation of grief into geopolitical currency. Western strikes were designed to decapitate, yet this procession shows that the social body can symbolically regenerate its own head." Safarnejad interpreted this as a confession by the adversaries themselves. "They are effectively admitting their act was a crime—and one that proved utterly futile."

In another Western media analysis quoted by Safarnejad, the report declared: "The crowd itself becomes a weapon; 15 to 20 million bodies marching in formation constitute a living statement that the will remains unextinguished."

He confirmed that Western outlets have projected attendance figures between 15 and 20 million in Tehran alone over the course of the ceremonies, adding that the actual numbers witnessed so far suggest the final tally will surpass even those estimates.

Safarnejad further quoted an analysis describing the event as "not merely a religious ritual, but a geopolitical manifesto and a metaphysical referendum on imperialism." The expert underscored that this is a confession from within the Western narrative itself—acknowledging that such a gathering has no parallel anywhere in the Western world and signals the bankruptcy of the hegemonic order's discourse.

He explained that the term "metaphysical referendum" in Western literature refers to an unofficial referendum against the global system of domination. The global outpouring of solidarity, even among non-Muslims, he added, demonstrated that the martyred leader's persona had left a profound mark on the world stage.

The political expert noted that social media platforms have been flooded with messages and video clips from people across the globe, including non-Muslims, paying tribute to the leader's courage, steadfastness, and resistance. "This shows that over nearly five decades, from the onset of the Islamic Revolution to the present, he stood shoulder to shoulder with Imam Khomeini and later as the Leader of the Revolution in defiance of the global imperialist order," Safarnejad said.

A significant portion of international media analysis, he added, has highlighted the role of Imam Khomeini as the founder of the Islamic Revolution and the continuation of that path by the martyred leader—a truth the late leader himself repeatedly stressed, insisting that the Revolution remains inseparable from the name of Imam Khomeini.

"Today, this Revolution and this school of thought are recognized worldwide through the names of Imam Khomeini and the martyred leader. Over four decades of leadership, he perfected the path laid by the Revolution's founder, elevating it to a stage where its message now stands as the foundation of a new Islamic civilization on cultural, political, social, and civilizational fronts," Safarnejad stated.

He described the martyrdom of the leader and his family at the hands of the world's most criminal elements—struck in his workplace rather than a bunker—as an unprecedented event in contemporary history, one that carries immense potential to shape global discourse for years to come.

On the notion of the "greater Khamenei era," Safarnejad clarified that it signals the dawn of a period in which the new Islamic civilization will be introduced to the world more vigorously than ever before. He argued that authentic Islam, as a complete divine religion, offers a blueprint for all aspects of human life. After the victory of the Islamic Revolution, he said, the hegemonic order sought to counter this pure Islam by fabricating counterfeit groups such as al-Qaeda, the Taliban, Daesh, Boko Haram, Jabhat al-Nusra, and Tahrir al-Sham to distort the image of the faith.

"If pure Islam lacked the power to shape the world, they would never have felt the need to manufacture knock-off versions," Safarnejad argued. "But today, rising global awareness and literacy have equipped people to distinguish truth from falsehood, and even non-Muslims are grasping the impact of this movement."

He concluded that this magnificent funeral, by divine grace, the guidance of Imam al-Mahdi, and the wise leadership of the current Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, will spark a global movement and unleash a fresh wave of awakening among nations—an awakening rooted in the Islamic Revolution and destined to spread further in the future.

"Today, thinkers across the world are grappling with a single question: what force could unite over 90 million Iranians, across all ethnicities, faiths, and cultures, around a single shared cause? What is unfolding on the streets, in the squares, and across Iran's cyberspace is the manifestation of national unity and solidarity—a unity the martyred leader forged through his conduct, his thought, and his struggle, leaving the world awestruck before its majesty."
