Hojatoleslam Razavi Mehr: Martyred Leader's Funeral Is a Covenant with the Revolution's Soul

A senior speaker at the Holy Shrine of Lady Masoumeh (PBUH) has stated that the multimillion-strong turnout for the funeral of the Revolution's martyred Leader represents a renewed pledge of allegiance to the ideals of the Islamic Revolution and the continuation of the path of the martyrs. "The blood of this martyred Imam will uproot the foundations of disbelief and polytheism, and the Iranian nation will, as always, emerge triumphant from this arena," he declared.

Hawzah News Agency- Hojatoleslam Seyyed Jalal Razavi Mehr, addressing a mourning congregation on Saturday evening at the Imam Khomeini (RA) prayer hall of the Holy Shrine of Lady Masoumeh (SA), cited the Qur'anic verse: "Those who have believed, emigrated, and striven in the cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives are greater in rank in the sight of Allah."

He stated: "The Islamic Revolution was a divine movement that, by Allah's permission, began from the luminous resting place of Lady Fatima Masoumah (SA) and, through the pure blood of the martyrs, transformed into a model of religious democracy. From day one, the enemies deployed every conceivable act of malice against this uprising, yet 'whoever is for Allah, Allah is with him'—and Allah has been with this nation."

A Leader of Unparalleled Scholarly and Revolutionary Stature

Razavi Mehr added: "The martyred Leader, a distinguished disciple of the late Imam Khomeini (RA) and the helmsman of the ship of the Revolution, embodied comprehensiveness in knowledge, jurisprudence, philosophy, exegesis, historical analysis, and enemy recognition. He stood against global arrogance with firmness and courage and never backed down. The enemies repeatedly came after him with assassination plots and conspiracies, but they could not silence his voice of truth within society."

He noted that Imam Khomeini (RA), in appointing him as Friday Prayer Leader, identified four key attributes—"exemplary record, knowledge, action, and merit"—as his defining qualities.

Martyrdom: The Culmination of a Life of Sacrifice

Reflecting on the oppressed martyrdom of the martyred Leader, the shrine speaker asserted: "Martyrdom is the undeniable right of the Imams and saints of God, and this was a right that Almighty Allah granted to the martyred Leader as well. His martyrdom has inscribed another Ashura and perpetuated Karbala across a new geography. Today, not only Islamic Iran but all the free people of the world send salutations upon him, and the symbolic funeral processions held across various countries testify to the doctrinal bond between nations and this great martyr."

A Display of Fearless Unity

Hojatoleslam Razavi Mehr pointed to the millions-strong popular participation in the funeral processions, stating: "The funeral of the martyred Leader is a renewal of allegiance to the ideals of the Islamic Revolution and the continuation of the path of the martyrs. The enemy fears this turnout and broadcasts signals of insecurity and terror, but our nation has proven that, with steadfastness and courage, it fears no threat."

He concluded: "Our duty today is to take to the streets and convey a message of unity and steadfastness to the world. The blood of this martyred Imam will uproot the foundations of disbelief and polytheism, and the Iranian nation, as it always has, will emerge triumphant from this arena."
