Hawzah News Agency- Mashhad, July 2025 – On the occasion of Muharram Month, a powerful statement was issued by the Assembly of Representatives of Students and Scholars of Khorasan Razavi Province— joined by a group of prominent professors, clerics, and students — announcing their full support for the recent historic fatwa by the Grand sources of emulation of the Shia world. The ruling categorically condemns any insult, threat, or encroachment against the sanctity of the Marja‘iyyah (religious authority) and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei.
Describing the fatwa as a “turning point” and “a new chapter” in the protection of Islam and its leadership, the statement situates the ruling within the broader historical and theological legacy of Ashura and the holy defense of the Islamic Republic.
