Everyone is awaiting the Savior

The promise of the reappearance of the Savior can be seen in the teachings of all religions, with the difference that according to the Shia doctrine, the Savior of humanity is now living among people, without being recognized, until God Almighty allows him to be introduced and appear; hence, according to the Shiites, the appearance means the Savior being recognized.

Hawzah News Agency- You may have asked yourself this question: why is our world, a world that should be full of love and affection, full of oppression and cruelty? How long must man witness all this injustice and discrimination?

Why should some people live in absolute poverty due to the oppression and not be able to meet even the simplest needs of their lives? Why should some people be oppressed just because of the color of their skin? Why should we witness children whose bones are exposed from hunger? How long must we witness the destruction of innocent people's homes under the bombardment of military warplanes? How long must we witness parents carrying their innocent, blood-stained children in their arms?

With the support of which person and which hope, will these problems be resolved? Who is going to hold the perpetrators of all this crime and injustice accountable? In which worldly court will these oppressors face justice? And dozens of other questions that occupy the mind of every free person.

But there are other questions beyond worldly issues that can occupy the mind of a curious person.

For instance, what is the philosophy of this life? What is the relationship between God, who has put the elements of this strange and complex world together in such an orderly manner and has specified a specific task for each of them, and the human itself? In short, we cannot remain oblivious to how we are guided and to this relationship.

These are not questions that can be easily ignored; Since we – as humans – are adorned with the power of reason. A reason that forces us to think, and how inappropriate it would be if the entire existence of man were to be filled with sensual and animal pleasures and the realm of his existence remained empty and devoid of the light of reason and thought. What a great and strange loss!

The issues and questions raised can be an incentive to force us to search and look for something or someone who can be an answer to our questions and a remedy for our pains.

And this is what is referred to as “hope.” Hope for guidance, hope for salvation, hope for a bright future.

Hope and salvation that emerges and manifests itself in the form of a “savior,” in the form of a “guide.” A savior whose emergence has been promised in all religions.

Jews, Christians, Muslims, Zoroastrians, Hindus, Buddhists, and even many who do not follow any religion consider the hope for the coming of a Savior to be an integral part of their belief. A belief that is a source of comfort for them in times of hardship and difficulty and a remedy for their sorrows and pains.

The Good News of the reappearance of the Savior in Islam

In Islam and in Shiism, there is also abundant talk of His coming. The one who will come and fill the world with justice and fairness. The one who will be the hope of the oppressed of the world and the enemy of the oppressors. The one with whom God will complete His grace on His servants by appearing; with the difference that according to the Shiite doctrine, the Savior of humanity is now living among us, without being recognized, until God Almighty allows Him to be introduced and appear. Therefore, according to the Shiites, the appearance means the Savior being recognized by all people.
