Hawzah News Agency - The Iranian Cultural Center in Indonesia has organized the course in cooperation with a number of Quranic institutes.
Iran’s Cultural Attaché Mohammad Reza Ebrahimi said in a speech at the opening ceremony that the Quran memorization project using an Iranian approach aims to promote the culture of the Quran and acting upon Quranic teachings and to increase the number of individuals who memorize the Holy Book.
Such efforts are of great importance given the need to pay attention to teaching methods in line with the guidelines of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, he said.
Also speaking at the event was Marziyeh Abolhassani, a Quran memorizer and instructor, who said when the significance and value of the Holy Quran are clear to individuals, their determination to memorize it becomes stronger.
Therefore, she added, the first thing that should be clarified for Quran students is the motivation to become a memorizer.
Abolhassani said that in different countries, the methods of memorizing the Holy Quran vary slightly.
“Some countries rely on writing, using the sense of touch to aid memorization, while others use auditory methods, depending on the sense of hearing. Recently, a new method has been developed called the visual method, which primarily utilizes the sense of sight. Of course, when we engage all our senses in memorizing the Quran, we will undoubtedly achieve better results. This method is commonly practiced in Iran, where thousands of people have successfully memorized the Quran through it.”
