Hawzah News Agency- According to a statement released in Tehran, 3,500 Iranian cultural and media figures voiced unwavering support for the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and emphasized what they called the “sacred unity” of the Iranian people in the face of foreign aggression and intimidation.
A historical confrontation between truth and falsehood
The statement frames the current confrontation as part of a broader historical struggle between truth and falsehood, arguing that arrogance and tyranny have appeared throughout history in different forms. Drawing on religious and historical symbolism, the signatories likened contemporary US leadership to past embodiments of oppression, asserting that arrogance, violence, greed, and deception have merely taken on new outward forms in the modern era.
“History,” the statement reads, “has always been the battlefield between humanity and evil. Tyranny has appeared as Nimrod, Pharaoh, Qarun, and Abu Sufyan—each defeated by the steadfastness of faith and resistance.” The signatories argue that today’s global order is witnessing a similar confrontation, with the Iranian nation standing firm against what they describe as hegemonic arrogance.
Iran identified as the main obstacle to US domination
The statement asserts that Washington now views Iran—its leadership and its people—as the principal barrier to the realization of US domination in the region and beyond. According to the signatories, this reality explains the escalation of sanctions, threats, and verbal attacks directed at Tehran.
“These desperate measures,” the statement says, “are nothing more than the frantic reactions of a declining power, grasping at intimidation after failing to impose its will.” The activists characterize recent rhetoric from the White House as a sign of political weakness rather than strength.
Regional and global reaction
The statement notes that hostile remarks against Iran’s leadership have triggered widespread anger not only among Iranians but also across the Muslim world, reinforcing a sense of shared resistance to foreign interference. This collective reaction, the signatories argue, reflects a broader awakening and a growing rejection of US policies based on coercion and threats.
They further emphasize that national unity around Iran’s leadership constitutes a core element of Iranian identity and has historically played a decisive role in confronting external challenges.
Lessons from past confrontations
Referring to Iran’s past responses to acts of aggression, the statement recalls Iran’s retaliatory missile strike on the Ain al-Asad base in 2020 and its more recent response targeting al-Udeid as clear messages that Iran will not remain silent in the face of threats.
“These episodes,” the statement stresses, “serve as reminders that Iran is a nation capable of decisive and legitimate defense, having already shattered the illusion of American invincibility in the modern era.”
Firm condemnation and final message
The signatories—representing Iran’s cultural and media community—joined clerics, officials, professionals, and citizens nationwide in strongly condemning what they described as offensive remarks by the US president against the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
They concluded by affirming that continued pressure and intimidation will only strengthen Iran’s resolve:
“Iran is the land of a nation that has stood firm against domination, defeated fear, and turned threats into opportunities. Any new hostility will be met with greater determination, deeper unity, and unwavering resistance.”
