Custodian of the Holy Jamkaran Mosque: Sahifa Sajjadiyah Is an Ocean of Spiritual Knowledge

The custodian of the Holy Jamkaran Mosque has described the Sahifa al-Sajjadiyya as a profound ocean of spiritual and ethical knowledge that must be clearly articulated and widely promoted throughout society.

Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at the Eighth Scientific Symposium of Scholars and Researchers of Sahifa al‑Sajjadiyya, held in the conference hall of the Holy Jamkaran Mosque under the theme “Sahifa: The Book of Faith and Resistance,” Hojatoleslam Seyed Ali‑Akbar Ojaq‑Nejad underscored the urgent need to cultivate the culture of engaging with Sahifa al‑Sajjadiyya across the nation.

He stated that fostering this noble tradition is not only a religious obligation but also a social and cultural responsibility that demands collective attention and commitment.

“The dissemination of Ahl al‑Bayt’s teachings yields abundant blessings for the wider community, particularly when these teachings repeatedly invoke the remembrance of Allah and guide human hearts toward the Divine,” Ojaq‑Nejad emphasized.

Highlighting the practical efforts underway, he noted that the Holy Jamkaran Mosque has placed Sahifa al‑Sajjadiyya recitation sessions at the forefront of its weekly programs, ensuring that this foundational work continues consistently.

Referring to the text itself, the custodian described Sahifa al‑Sajjadiyya as a vast sea of spiritual insight. “If this book were in the hands of Western societies,” he said, “one can only imagine how it might be studied, interpreted, or even misused outside its intended moral and spiritual framework.”

Ojaq‑Nejad further warned that distortion of Islam remains a strategic objective of adversaries, noting that misleading narratives about Islam—including those shaped by extremist Wahhabi interpretations—have even been compiled and disseminated in places such as Israel, raising serious questions about intent and understanding.

He stressed that these developments underscore the imperative for scholars, seminaries, and religious institutions to take active leadership in promoting understanding of Sahifa al‑Sajjadiyya and accelerating efforts that deepen engagement with its timeless teachings on faith, patience, and resistance.

“We call upon scholars and religious educators to mobilize in support of this cause,” Ojaq‑Nejad said, “so that the message of Sahifa al‑Sajjadiyya may reach every corner of our society with clarity, authenticity, and spiritual depth.”
