Hawzah News Agency- Hojatoleslam Abdolmajid Hakimollahi said reports circulating in international media outlets and on social media regarding unrest in Iran do not reflect realities on the ground and are instead part of a coordinated disinformation campaign.
Speaking to Hawzah News Agency, Hakimollahi said there is a clear divide between field realities inside Iran and narratives fabricated by hostile media networks, opposition groups, and adversarial political actors.
“There is a profound gap between reality and fiction,” he said. “What is being promoted globally does not correspond to actual conditions inside Iran. Much of it is deliberately engineered propaganda.”
Sanctions-driven pressure, not internal collapse
Acknowledging economic challenges, the Leader’s representative emphasized that such difficulties stem from externally imposed pressures rather than domestic failure.
“Yes, economic problems exist, and it is natural for some segments of society to express dissatisfaction,” Hakimollahi said. “However, these challenges are the direct result of a long-standing, organized economic war imposed by Western powers through sanctions.”
He warned that certain opportunistic groups are deliberately exploiting economic pressures to pursue political agendas, adding that limited and isolated protests are being deliberately exaggerated to project an image of nationwide unrest.
Stability maintained across the country
Hakimollahi strongly dismissed alarmist claims circulating on social media, stressing that Iran’s security and public order remain intact.
“The current situation is good, stable, and fully controlled,” he said. “What is being circulated online is not even close to the realities on the ground.”
He noted that selective imagery, misleading reports, and emotionally driven narratives are being deployed as part of a broader psychological and media warfare campaign aimed at destabilizing Iran and undermining public confidence.
Iran resilient despite external pressure
Hakimollahi concluded by stressing that Iran continues to move forward with stability, social cohesion, and popular resilience despite sustained sanctions and foreign pressure.
“This reality stands in sharp contrast to the distorted images promoted abroad,” he said, adding that portrayals of Iran as being on the brink of crisis are part of a calculated effort to weaken and discredit the Islamic Republic on the international stage.
He emphasized that such narratives increasingly fail when measured against facts on the ground, as Iran maintains order and continuity in the face of ongoing political, economic, and psychological pressure from hostile actors.
