Hawzah News Agency- In a statement released following Trump’s remarks, Ayatollah Qassim said the contemporary world is gripped by deep anxiety over its future, an unease shared by nations and governments alike—whether they oppose Washington or are counted among its allies.
He warned that humanity is facing a widespread and destructive danger in which nothing is heard but the voice of brute material power, amid the complete absence of reason, religion, morality, and the logic of sound human nature. According to the Bahraini cleric, the primary source of this global fear lies in the unrestrained policies of the US president and his comprehensive, destructive approach aimed at imposing arrogant domination over the world.
Against this backdrop, Ayatollah Qassim questioned Trump’s claims about the need to “reform” Iran’s supreme leadership.
“What kind of ‘reform’ is being prescribed for the senior leadership of the Islamic Republic,” he asked, “a leadership whose exemplary qualities have inspired massive, million-strong rallies filling the streets of this blessed republic in its defense against malicious and subversive plots?”
He said these plots were openly funded, supported, and politically shielded by hostile forces, which went as far as direct intervention against Iran’s official system with the aim of crushing the people, destroying national wealth, infrastructure, and the foundations of everyday life, leaving no chance for recovery.
Ayatollah Qassim further dismissed any suggestion that US and Israeli aggression was motivated by concern for the Iranian people.
“Does any rational Iranian believe that the aggressive military campaigns of the United States and Israel, including the twelve-day war and subsequent efforts to ignite an even more direct, brutal, expansive, and bloodier conflict, stemmed from Trump’s mercy or respect for Iran’s independence, freedom, and dignity?” he asked.
Describing Ayatollah Khamenei as a leader standing “at the summit of lofty peaks” in terms of knowledge, spirituality, and political insight, Ayatollah Qassim said the Leader of the Islamic Revolution possesses unique qualities that distinguish him among today’s world leaders.
“He is a leader for whom millions of great men and women in Iran are prepared to sacrifice their lives,” the statement said. “They regard his command as a religious obligation that cannot be violated and see his safety as inseparable from the safety of Islam and the Muslim Ummah.”
Ayatollah Qassim added that Ayatollah Khamenei’s support base extends far beyond Iran’s borders, encompassing a vast global community ready to offer their lives for his protection and for the continuation of what he described as the blessings of his leadership for the Islamic Ummah and the wider human society.
“The benefit of this leadership is universal,” he said, stressing that Ayatollah Khamenei’s words, role, and struggle are dedicated to global security, peace, goodness, welfare, and human brotherhood.
The Bahraini cleric concluded that hostility toward such leadership reflects fear of its moral authority and unifying influence, rather than any genuine concern for the well-being of nations or peoples.
