Hawzah News Agency- “Razavi Hospital began its medical, scientific, and research activities in 2005 as one of the largest and most equipped hospitals in the region. From the very beginning, this hospital paid special attention to attracting distinguished doctors and elite medical researchers from both inside and outside the country, as well as developing and upgrading its various diagnostic and therapeutic departments by utilizing the latest technologies and medical equipment,” Mehvar stated.

He added: “This center has been recognized as a top-tier hospital in national accreditation assessments, consistently advancing in evidence-based medicine and caregiving, and operating in accordance with global standards in treatment”.

Mehvar went on to say: “The center has held different scientific forms and congresses. These events allowed a large number of researchers and scientists from both inside and outside the country to become familiar with the latest therapeutic and healthcare approaches done for various diseases”.

Referring to the fourth congress of "Colorectal Diseases" which was held with a focus on colorectal cancers in 2024, he said: “The event covered latest scientific findings in this highly specialized field. During the event, many renowned and distinguished researchers in the field of colorectal diseases presented their latest findings in areas such as colorectal surgery, gastroenterology, internal medicine, general surgery, oncology, radiotherapy, nuclear medicine, and nursing”.

CEO of Razavi Hospital further noted that “The hospital has also become the third center in the world to receive certification for holding nursing courses from the University of Oxford and the European Society of Cardiology. The center has also been successful to hold specialized courses under supervision of Iran’s Ministry of Health and Medical Education”.

“Hospital’s staff have been able to publish over 100 scientific papers in highly reputable international journals. Writing and publication of two chapters of comprehensive international source of "Radiopharmaceuticals" by two researchers from the nuclear medicine and molecular imaging department of the hospital is just one scientific activity of hospital’s staff”, he added.

CEO of Razavi Hospital stressed: “The nuclear medicine department has become one of the most prestigious units at Razavi Hospital in recent years, taking significant strides in the production of various radiopharmaceuticals, including Ga68-RM2, Ga68-Pentixafor, and FAPI-Ga68. The FAPI radiopharmaceutical was produced for the first time in Iran aiming detection of all types of cancer in a general capacity”.

According to Mehvar, nuclear medicine department has successfully launched MIBG-131-I therapy for the first time in country’s east, becoming the only center able to perform this procedure nationwide. Receiving licenses for production and export of radiopharmaceuticals for the first time in the country as a private center is also among recent achievements of the center”.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Mehaver stated: “Over the past year, all documentation related to patients' information from the moment they enter the hospital until their discharge has been stored electronically. These records can be accessed and tracked electronically from the hospital's archives and medical documentation unit”.

The CEO of Razavi Hospital noted: “Since the hospital is keeping pace with new sciences in the world, efforts have also been made to apply artificial intelligence”.
