Hawzah News Agency- Sunni scholar Mamousta Mohammad Amin Rasti, in an interview with Hawzah News correspondent in Kurdistan province on Thursday, February 15, pointed out the importance of elections in Iran and said,” Elections are a clear symbol of religious democracy and one of the honors of the Islamic Republic of Iran after the victory over the Pahlavi regime.”
The interim Friday imam of Sanandaj city noted, "Since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the people of Iran have had a lasting and stunning presence in all national scenes, and no doubt this year, despite the conspiracies of enemies, their presence at the ballot box has been the top news of domestic and foreign media.”
In another part of his speech, he pointed out that our choice in this election should be done with full insight and vigilance, and that we should be able to choose the best and most qualified candidates to the Assembly of Leadership Experts and the Islamic Council, because if we act without knowledge and poorly, we will undoubtedly face a parliament with passive and ineffective representatives.”
Referring to the efforts of foreign networks and anti-revolutionary media in discussing the upcoming elections, Mamousta Rasti said, "Since the beginning of the year, especially in the last few months, we have seen extensive propaganda by anti-revolutionary media against the elections. These media are trying to denigrate the state of the society in order to prevent people from participating in this big referendum, so we should not be fooled by the false propaganda of foreign media.”
At the end of his speech, the interim imam of Sanandaj city added, "The revolutionary people of Iran will be present at the ballot boxes in March, so that, with their enthusiastic participation in this great national event, they will show the reality of Iran to the adversaries, as well as the enemies of this national unity."
