Hawzah News Agency- Hujjat al-Islam Mahmoud Mohammadi Iraqi, the head of the office of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Qom, said on the second day of the international conference commemorating Late Ayatollah Misbah Yazdi at the University of Kufa,” I believe that Late Ayatollah Misbah Yazdi participated in Ayatollah Behjat's courses in order to gain spiritual benefits, because he had definitely reached the level of ijtihad before then.”
He added,” Late Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi had intellectual and jurisprudential debates with some of the prominent figures of his time. These debates continued for a long time and then led to Quranic debates and debates about the government, which later on led to production of book "Al-Imamah wa Al-Walaiya fi Al-Quran Al-Karim".
The head of the office of Supreme Leader of the Revolution in Qom also noted that Allameh Misbah's brilliance was in philosophical and intellectual sciences and Quranic knowledge, and added that his genius, precision and depth of thought made him a prominent figure in the most precise philosophical and Islamic wisdom topics at his time. Later he developed a special profession and method in these sciences.”
He added,” Our beloved professor is one of the founders of "Institute on the Right Path" and "Martyr Haqqani Seminary School", which was established with the help of great teachers such as Martyr Hujjat al-Islam Beheshti and Martyr Quddousi which had special programs for elite students.”
The member of the Iranian Assembly of Leadership Experts continued,” Allameh Misbah Yazdi used to study specific topics, such as Descartes and Marxist works, from the original texts before Western and Eastern philosophies were known in the seminary. Also, he had learned new sciences, physics, mathematics and even foreign languages sixty years ago.”
Hujjat al-Islam Mohammadi Iraqi concluded by saying,” Allamah Misbah Yazdi was so familiar with the topics of Western philosophy that some great professors at his time believed that Ayatollah Misbah could explain Western philosophy better than their own thinkers and scholars.”
