Hawzah News Agency- the text of the condolence message of Grand Ayatollah Hussein Nouri Hamdani following the passing of the late Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad Reza Ashtiani (may God have mercy on his soul) is as follows:

In The Name of God

The passing away of the committed scholar Hujjat al-Islam Haj Sheikh Mohammad Reza Ashtiani (may God have mercy on him) caused great sorrow and pain.

The spirit of helping people and being a revolutionary in various fields, including the Iranian Parliament, the Society of Seminary Teachers, the affairs of the imams of the congregations, along with his scholarly effort and penmanship, was one of the outstanding characteristics of the deceased, and he entered all scenes with complete sincerity and in order to fulfill his duties he did not spare any effort.

During the long years of communication with him, I benefited from his benevolent advice.

I offer my condolences to the seminaries and the relatives of the deceased, as well as their colleagues in the Society of Seminary Teachers, on the passing away of this influential person, and I pray for the late Hujjat al-Islam Ashtiani.
