Hawzah News Agency- Delivering this week’s sermons in Tuyserkan, Hojatoleslam Mousavi said the operation once again revealed the “true and violent nature” of Washington and Tel Aviv, who, in his words, “reject every obligation the moment it does not serve their hegemonic agenda.”
Basij: A Model of Popular Governance
Marking Basij Week in Iran, the cleric praised Late Imam Khomeini’s historic initiative in forming the Basij, calling it one of the greatest pillars of the Islamic Revolution.
“Basij is not merely an administrative body,” he said. “It is a model of popular governance, rooted in sacrifice and public participation. It remains an inseparable element of the identity and resilience of the Islamic Republic.”
Western Double Standards
Hojatoleslam Mousavi criticized what he called the “brazen hypocrisy” of Western governments, especially the United States and Europe. He likened Western political leaders to “knife-wielding figures wearing suits,” saying that behind their polished diplomatic language lies a violent and destabilizing agenda.
He emphasized that the targeted killing of the Hezbollah commander must serve as a message for certain political currents inside Iran:
“This event proves the enemy respects no agreements. Those who still place their hopes in compromise or negotiation with such powers should reconsider their assumptions.”
European Parliament Resolution: A Warning for Families
Turning to domestic cultural and social concerns, the cleric pointed to the new European Parliament resolution imposing restrictions on teenagers’ access to social media platforms. He said the move, combined with the latest findings of the American Psychological Association on the cognitive harm associated with unregulated online activity, should be taken very seriously by Iranian families.
“When Western institutions themselves acknowledge the destructive effects of uncontrolled digital exposure on youth, it is an important reminder for our society,” he noted. “Families must remain vigilant and ensure that children and adolescents are protected from harmful online content.”
Call for Awareness and Vigilance
Hojatoleslam Mousavi concluded by urging the Iranian people to remain aware of geopolitical developments and domestic cultural challenges. He stressed that the current regional situation requires unity, insight, and a realistic understanding of the intentions of hostile powers.
“The enemies of the region openly pursue instability and division,” he said. “Our strength lies in awareness, resistance, and adherence to the principles of the Islamic Revolution.”
