Hezbollah Official: Resistance Will Decide Appropriate Response to Israeli Aggression

A senior Hezbollah official says the movement will take the “appropriate decision” in response to the latest Israeli strike on Beirut’s southern suburbs, warning that the aggression represents a direct challenge to Lebanon’s sovereignty and a deliberate attempt to escalate tensions in the region.

Hawzah News Agency- Mahmoud Qamati, Deputy Chairman of Hezbollah’s Political Council, said the attack on the densely populated Dahieh district was a “hostile message” intended not only for the resistance but for Lebanon’s government, its security institutions, and the entire nation.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, Qamati stressed that the Israeli regime has repeatedly shown that it “respects no agreement and no sovereignty,” adding that Tel Aviv’s ongoing violations expose the futility of relying on negotiations with an entity that has never fulfilled its international obligations.

He said the strike was designed to pressure Lebanon’s governing institutions and undermine the country’s national equation:

“Targeting the capital is a message to the authorities, the tripartite leaders, the army, the resistance and the people. The Zionist regime is attempting to break all red lines in order to force Lebanon into submitting to the American project in the region.”

Qamati criticized certain Lebanese officials who still seek new negotiations with Israel, saying such efforts ignore the regime’s record of non-compliance.
“How can anyone speak of negotiating with an enemy that has not implemented a single clause of the current agreement—an agreement signed under international supervision, including by the United States?” he said.

The Hezbollah official called for a new national equation that unites the army, the people, the government, and the resistance in one coherent stance capable of confronting Israel’s repeated violations. He warned that the Israeli regime believes “no one is able to stop it,” emboldened by the unwavering support it receives from Washington.

He also referred to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent claims that Israel can act freely across the Middle East without facing consequences, saying such statements reveal Tel Aviv’s intention to continue its pattern of aggression and territorial encroachment.

Qamati confirmed that the resistance movement is currently assessing the full scope of Sunday night’s attack, including whether it resulted in the martyrdom of any of its members.
“The resistance will review the situation in detail and will take the appropriate decision once the complete results of this aggression are established,” he said.

Hezbollah has vowed that the latest Israeli strike will not go unanswered, as regional tensions continue to escalate amid growing international criticism of Israel’s violations in Lebanon.
