Hawzah News Agency- In a statement, Hojatoleslam Naqvi extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured. He underscored the need for urgent and specialized medical care for all those affected.
Calling the placement of a chemical industrial unit in a densely populated residential area “a serious cause for concern,” Naqvi urged authorities to launch a transparent and thorough investigation to determine the cause of the blast and ensure that those responsible are prosecuted according to law.
The senior cleric also stressed that compensating families and repairing damaged homes and buildings is both a legal obligation and a humanitarian duty of the relevant institutions.
Emphasizing preventive measures, Naqvi called for relocating hazardous chemical factories away from residential neighborhoods and conducting rigorous safety inspections to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
The deadly explosion in Faisalabad killed at least 14 people and injured many more. The force of the blast caused the roofs of several nearby houses to collapse, complicating rescue operations. Emergency teams are still working at the site, where at least nine people have been rescued from the rubble and taken to hospital.
