Hawzah News Agency- Al-Khalil ibn Ahmad narrated that Ibn Muni’a narrated from Harun ibn Abdullah, from Suleiman ibn Abdul Rahman al-Dameshqi, from Khalid ibn Abi Khalid al-Azraq, from Muhammad ibn Abdul Rahman - whom I suspect to be ibn Abi Layli, from Nafe’ah, from Ibn Umar that the Holy Prophet (pbuh) said:
أَفْضَلُ الْعِبَادَةِ الْفِقْهُ، وَأَفْضَلُ الدِّينِ الْوَرَعُ.
The best form of worship is deep understanding (fiqh), and the best quality of religion is God-conscious restraint (wara').
