Hawzah News Agency- In a statement, the senior Shia authority underscored the unique status of Lady Fatimah (PBUH) in Islamic history, saying that understanding and reviving her life, virtues, and the circumstances surrounding her martyrdom is instrumental for safeguarding the truth of guardianship.
Ayatollah Vahid Khorasani referred to the well-known narration of Asbagh ibn Nubatah, who questioned Imam Ali (PBUH) on the reasons behind the nighttime burial of Lady Fatimah (PBUH). According to the narration:
Translation:
Asbagh ibn Nubatah reports: Imam Ali (PBUH) was asked why Lady Fatimah (PBUH) was buried at night. He replied: “She was angered by a group of people and disliked their presence at her funeral. It is forbidden for those who support that group to perform the funeral prayer over any of her children.”
Ayatollah Vahid Khorasani highlighted that this narration raises important historical and theological questions: What occurred that caused Fatimah al-Zahra (PBUH) to be angered? And what circumstances led her to explicitly reject the presence of certain individuals at her burial?
He stressed that contemplating these questions is essential for understanding the foundations of guardianship and the profound spiritual station of Lady Fatimah (PBUH).
The narration is recorded in Al-Amali by Sheikh al-Saduq, p. 755.
