Israel's 12‑Day War Revealed Alarming Gap in America's Missile Stockpile

During a 12‑day war between Israel and Iran in June 2025, the U.S. deployed two of its seven high-end Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) systems, alongside shipborne and Israeli missile defenses, yet dozens of Iranian missiles still penetrated the defenses — exposing a critical shortfall in U.S. interceptor stockpiles and planning.

Hawzah News Agency- Iran’s massive missile barrage on Israel during the Israeli regime’s imposed war has exposed a critical gap in the U.S. interceptor missile stockpiles.

Had Iran launched several more large-scale missile attacks, Israel might have run out of its advanced Arrow-3 interceptor missiles.

Analysts emphasized urgency in expanding interceptor production; replenishing used THAAD missiles could cost up to $2 billion and take over a year.
