Hawzah News Agency- The ceremony was held at the Imam Khomeini Prayer Hall of the shrine, drawing Grand Ayatollahs Shobeiri Zanjani and Sobhani, along with representatives from the offices of other Grand Marja's, senior seminary figures, and Ayatollah Arafi, Director of Iran's Seminaries.
Seminary personalities, members of the Society of Seminary Teachers and the Supreme Council of Seminaries, high-ranking seminary directors, national and military officials, professors, members of the Assembly of Experts, and throngs of revolutionary mourners seeking justice for the martyred Imam filled the hall with tearful eyes.
'Any Official Who Sleeps on Revenge Must Question His Conscience'
Delivering a keynote address, Hojatoleslam Seyyed Ali Khomeini paid tribute to the tens of millions of faithful Iranians and Iraqis who took part in the farewell, funeral, and burial ceremonies. He stressed that avenging the blood of the martyred Imam is a fundamental demand of the people, declaring, "Any official who sleeps and does not think of avenging the martyred Leader must question his own conscience."
'Our Identity Is Non-Reconciliation with Arrogance'
The grandson of Imam Khomeini ridiculed the "vile American official" who claimed he would decide Iran's leadership, dismissing it as a "sheer delusion." He stated that those who feared war have now understood that while war carries costs and difficulties, it is not something to be feared—fear of war is worse than war itself.
Hojatoleslam Khomeini rejected tying Iran's strategy to US domestic politics, asking, "Should we fight so that a yellow dog leaves and a jackal comes in its place? Who would replace Trump?" He declared, "We say 'death to Democrats' just as we say 'death to Republicans.'"
He firmly added, "Can Imam Hussein (PBUH) make peace with Yazid? Can we make peace with criminal America? Our very identity is non-reconciliation with arrogance. Anyone who seeks negotiations to reach peace with America is a traitor."
