'The Agreement Is Finished': Senior Qom Cleric Says Washington's Oath-Breaking Leaves No Path But Resistance

A high-ranking official of the Islamic Seminary of Qom has declared that Washington's latest act of treaty-shredding has effectively sounded the death knell for the agreement, calling on the Iranian people to close ranks, shun internal discord, and rally behind the directives of the Vali-e-Faqih (Guardian Jurist) while demanding the protection of the nation's rights and revolutionary ideals.

Hawzah News Agency- A high-ranking official of the Islamic Seminary of Qom has declared that Washington's latest act of treaty-shredding has effectively sounded the death knell for the agreement, calling on the Iranian people to close ranks, shun internal discord, and rally behind the directives of the Vali-e-Faqih (Guardian Jurist) while demanding the protection of the nation's rights and revolutionary ideals.

'The Front of Truth Belongs Exclusively to the Ahl al-Bayt'

Addressing a commemoration ceremony for the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution at the Grand Mosque of Qanavat in Qom province, Hojatoleslam Hamid Maleki, Deputy Director of the Qom Islamic Seminary, described the gathering as a manifestation of the glorification of divine symbols and paid tribute to the organizers.

"My conviction is that in the entire realm of existence, the front of Truth belongs exclusively to the Ahl al-Bayt of infallibility (PBUT)," Maleki declared. "Those who move in the path of the Ahl al-Bayt stand on the front of Truth, and the front of Truth is indisputably victorious."

From Ashura to the Islamic Revolution: An Unbroken Chain

Drawing a direct genealogical line from the tragedy of Karbala to the Islamic Revolution and beyond, Maleki argued that every uprising born from the culture of Ashura has triumphed, even when its protagonists were martyred. "After the martyrdom of Sayyid al-Shuhada (PBUH) and his companions, movements erupted one after another, all bearing the Karbalai and Husseini character. These movements have always been victorious. Though they ended in martyrdom, they achieved their objectives: the annihilation of arrogance and the disgrace of the Yazids of every age," he stated.

He rooted this consciousness in the daily liturgy of the Muslim faithful: "If a person performs only their obligatory prayers, they recite the Straight Path ten times a day — 'the path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked Your anger, nor of those who are astray.' This is the demarcation of two fronts: Truth and falsehood."

Imam Khomeini's Movement: The Continuation of the Husseini Path

Maleki situated the contemporary movements sweeping the region as extensions of Imam Khomeini's sincere uprising of 1963, recalling the founder of the Islamic Republic's prophetic words: "My soldiers are in cradles and in the laps of their mothers."

"A Husseini movement on the front of Truth took shape under the leadership of Imam Khomeini. Arrayed against it stood the front of falsehood — global arrogance and Zionism — whose manifestation in Iran was the Pahlavi regime," he said. "That sincere, monotheistic, Husseini struggle triumphed in 1979. This is the honor of Shia Islam: whenever it moves in the path of Sayyid al-Shuhada (PBUH), it is successful and victorious. This is 'Ahda al-Husnayain' — one of the two supreme goods, victory or martyrdom."

The World Is Only Now Discovering the Greatness of Iran

The Qom Seminary deputy highlighted the global reverberations of the Iranian nation's steadfastness, citing testimony from Iran's ambassador to Russia. "Ambassador Jalali stated that since the 12-day war, the Iranian nation and its Leader have only just begun to be introduced to the world, because the news blackout had prevented the greatness of the Iranian people from being revealed," Maleki recounted.

He added: "During a meeting between our Foreign Minister and President Putin, the Foreign Minister spoke of the greatness of the Iranian nation. When he finished, Putin leaned forward, placed his hand on the table, and said: 'What you have said is not the entirety of the Iranian nation's greatness. Their greatness is far beyond this.'"

Maleki posed the question: "Who granted this greatness to the Iranian nation? Sayyid al-Shuhada (PBUH), his companions, and Imam Khomeini. There was a time when over 60,000 American military advisors were stationed in Iran, drawing 'hardship pay' — claiming they were on a mission among a savage people and therefore deserved 'wilderness compensation.' Who expelled them? The Imam slapped them. Where did the Imam learn this lesson? From Karbala, from Ashura."

Eight Years of Global War and the Anatomy of Enemy Plots

In a sweeping historical survey, Maleki recounted the immediate post-revolution hostilities: "Those of my generation remember that not two months, not two years, but two hours after the victory of the Islamic Republic, the Americans launched their seditions and war against Iran — the Kurdistan crisis, then Azerbaijan, Khuzestan, the Turkmen Sahra, the forests of Amol. When they realized they faced a valiant nation and a great Imam, they ignited a world war."

He characterized the eight-year Iran-Iraq War in terms starkly different from conventional historiography. "The imposed war was a world war. The Soviet Union of that time, the United States, Europe, the Arab states, and the Persian Gulf littoral countries all joined hands to bring Iran to its knees. Saddam boasted he would be in Tehran within six days. In some respects, his calculation seemed plausible — Iran had no army to speak of, no Revolutionary Guard Corps, no Basij, no material resources. But it had God. It had faith. It had a Leader, and it had obedience to that Leader."

In that global conflagration, Maleki noted, "over 200,000 gallant, beloved, faithful, and honorable youths offered their pure blood, and after eight years, the Iranian nation emerged from this arena in triumph."

The Martyr Leader: A Figure Without Parallel

Turning to the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Maleki painted a portrait of extraordinary fortitude under relentless pressure. "This martyred Leader of ours — and I believe he was a personality without parallel — what volumes of heartbreak he endured over 37 years. The pressures brought to bear upon him during the 2009 sedition, the insults hurled at him, and more recently, the chants of 'Death to the Dictator' — only for the mob to later understand that the true dictator is global arrogance," he said.

Falsehood: The Froth Upon the Water

Maleki employed the Quranic metaphor of froth to place the apparent ascendancy of the enemy camp in its proper, ephemeral context. "Sometimes the front of falsehood swaggers and struts, but the Quran describes it as 'froth that rises.' A person first sees the froth and imagines it vast, but the froth itself perishes; 'it vanishes as scum.' Falsehood destroys and disgraces itself," he declared.

"The confrontation between the two fronts of Truth and falsehood has today reached its zenith, and those who stand on the front of Truth have likewise reached their zenith," he continued, citing the unprecedented outpouring in Iraq during the funeral procession of the martyred Leader. "In Iran, it was natural — he was Iran's Leader, he belonged to Iran. But the Iraqi people created an uproar. I see this reception as the fulfillment of the Quranic verse: 'Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds — the Most Merciful will appoint for them affection.'"

The Deputy Director extended the logic globally: "Had his blessed body been taken to Pakistan, the crowds would have exceeded those in Iraq; the same in India, the same in Europe. Only now has the world begun to understand Iran — its people, its oppressed condition, and simultaneously its might."

Western 'Civilization': Unmasked Savagery

In some of his most blistering remarks, Maleki tore the mask from Western claims to civilizational superiority, reserving particular contempt for those within Iran he accused of being mesmerized by the West.

"Certain individuals, with the statement they issued, demonstrated that they have become utterly detached from society and the people, and have fallen under the spell of the West," he charged. "One day, Mr. Kerry, the then-US Secretary of State, smiled at them, and they remained intoxicated for a month — that Kerry smiled at us! Wretched souls, it is God whose approval you should seek."

He then leveled a searing indictment of Western elites: "These are absolute disbelief and absolute hypocrisy. They are the festering core of corruption — the people of Epstein's island. To preserve their carnal powers, they terrorize young girls before slaughtering them in various ways, skewering and consuming their bodies to enhance their sexual potency."

Maleki drew a stark civilizational contrast: "These people have hidden their true face behind the mask of civilization, yet the Age of Ignorance before Islam appears civilized in comparison. They are the savages of the age, but they appear with velvet gloves and masks, and many imagine they are cultured human beings."

His verdict cut to the core: "Civilization resides in the culture of Sayyid al-Shuhada (PBUH). Gandhi — who was not a Muslim — advised the youth of India: 'If you wish to remain free forever, cling to Karbala and to Imam Hussain (PBUH).' He understood that the culture of Ashura is civilization-generating."

America's Treaty-Shredding and the Imperative of Unity

In his concluding remarks, Maleki turned to the immediate political moment, declaring the agreement effectively dead following Washington's latest act of bad faith.

"The enemy has once again commenced its operations and has once again torn up that accord. Throughout history, these people have been oath-breakers. America has never entered into a pact with anyone without subsequently violating it," he asserted.

While expressing confidence in victory in the hard war, Maleki identified the soft war as the terrain of greatest vulnerability. "We are concerned about division. We are concerned about divergent readings of the message of our new Imam," he said, referring to the current Leader.

"Our Supreme Leader is the most progressive religious concept we possess. From the very first day until today, our victory has been through the blessings of the Vali-e-Faqih. Today, our Vali-e-Faqih, our beloved Imam, our magnificent Leader, issues the line, and we must move precisely according to his instructions — not one step ahead, not one step behind."

He urged sustained popular mobilization, connecting it to the martyred Leader's predictions: "He foretold that if the enemy transgresses against this country, God would resurrect this people — an unprecedented mass awakening. He also foretold that in the end; the people themselves would finish the task. That is why our dear Leader has told us not to abandon the streets and not to abandon the mosques. We must finish the job; the politicians cannot do it alone."

Maleki concluded with a Quranic exhortation: "O front of Truth, when you battle the front of falsehood, strike their necks — not their hands or feet. Strike in such a way that their hands are raised in surrender. It appears the matter of the agreement is concluded. God willing, our combatants will achieve victory through your prayers. We saw the divine miracle in the eight-year war, how God granted victory to the front of faith over the front of disbelief. May God grant us all the success to remain on the front of Truth — steadfast, spirited, faithful — and to attain martyrdom on that very front."
