Hawzah News Agency – Human beings are composed of two fundamental dimensions: body and soul. Accordingly, their needs are also divided into two domains—material and spiritual. Achieving true human perfection requires a balanced and deliberate journey along both paths. The promised global government of Imam Mahdi (PBUH), the final divine successor, aims precisely to facilitate this holistic development—bringing humanity closer to Almighty God by removing the obstacles that hinder this ascent.

The goal of creation itself is to elevate humanity to the highest realms of perfection and proximity to the Divine. To reach this noble aim, appropriate means must be established, and the awaited governance of Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance) is the divine mechanism designed to do just that. Justice, the hallmark of divine rule, will be the foundation that ensures healthy growth along both material and spiritual dimensions.

The objectives of Imam Mahdi’s (PBUH) government can thus be summarized under two main themes:

1. Spiritual Revival

Throughout history, in the absence of divine leadership, spirituality has consistently been sidelined. People, drawn by base desires and satanic temptations, have often turned away from higher values, burying their own spiritual potential under layers of materialism and indulgence. In much of today’s world, spiritual life is gasping for breath, and in many places, it has all but disappeared.

The reappearance of Imam Mahdi (PBUH) represents a renaissance of the human soul. His mission is to revive genuine spiritual values, rekindle the divine spark within humanity, and awaken people to the beauty of a life lived in accordance with God’s will. The Holy Qur’an says:

«یَا أَیُّهَا الَّذِینَ آمَنُوا اسْتَجِیبُوا لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاکُمْ لِمَا یُحْیِیکُمْ.»

“O you who have believed, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life.” (Surah al-Anfal, 8:24)

True life, the Qur’an reminds us, is not merely biological existence—it is spiritual vitality, the very element that sets humans apart from animals. Under the leadership of the Imam (PBUH), this dimension of humanity will be organized, nurtured, and empowered, allowing noble human values to flourish across all spheres of life.

2. The Universal Establishment of Justice

Perhaps the deepest wound in the history of human society has been the persistent presence of oppression and inequality. For centuries, humanity has been plagued by unfair distribution of resources, where the privileged few thrive while others suffer in silence. The contrast between palaces and pavements, between the overfed and the starving, remains one of the greatest moral failures of civilization.

The longing for justice, a universal human aspiration, finds its ultimate fulfillment in the era of Imam Mahdi (PBUH). According to countless narrations, his divinely guided rule will establish justice on a global scale, ensuring fairness in every realm—social, political, economic, and spiritual.

Imam Hussain (PBUH) is reported to have said:

«لَوْ لَمْ یَبْقَ مِنَ اَلدُّنْیَا إِلاَّ یَوْمٌ وَاحِدٌ لَطَوَّلَ اَللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ ذَلِکَ اَلْیَوْمَ حَتَّی یَخْرُجَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ وُلْدِی فَیَمْلَأَهَا عَدْلاً وَ قِسْطاً کَمَا مُلِئَتْ جَوْراً وَ ظُلْماً کَذَلِکَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ صَلَّی اَللَّهُ عَلَیْهِ وَ آلِهِ یَقُولُ.»

“Even if only one day remains in the life of this world, God will prolong that day until a man from my lineage arises, who will fill the Earth with justice and equity just as it had been filled with injustice and oppression. I heard this from the Messenger of God (PBUH).” (Kamal al-Din, Vol. 1, p. 317)

This and dozens of other authentic narrations promise the arrival of a world led by a just and divinely inspired leader, under whom oppression will be eradicated and human dignity restored.
