Hawzah News Agency- When Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham, peace be upon him) called people to perform Hajj at the command of Allah, the Almighty ensured that this call would echo in the hearts of humankind until the Day of Judgment. That divine voice still resonates in the atmosphere of the Kaaba today, calling out:
"O people! Turn towards the House of your Lord!"
However, it is disheartening to witness that millions of Muslims, despite being financially capable, continue to delay this sacred journey. They possess wealth, expansive businesses, and worldly comforts — yet they find no time to respond to their Lord’s call.
Recent reports show a growing number of Muslims who meet the financial and physical requirements of Hajj but keep postponing the pilgrimage due to business engagements, lack of time, or attachment to worldly affairs. For many, the Hajj — a pillar of Islam — has seemingly become a secondary priority.
Several pilgrims currently performing Hajj expressed deep regret over the delay in undertaking the journey:
“If only we had come earlier! Being here makes us realize how long we’ve truly waited.”
One elderly pilgrim remarked:
“The peace, the tears, and the spiritual closeness to Allah one feels here — it cannot be found anywhere else in the world.”
Islamic scholars emphasize that when Allah grants wealth, His right takes precedence. They stress that responding to the obligation of Hajj is not optional but a divine duty upon every capable Muslim.
In a joint message, religious scholars urged:
“The journey of Hajj is not just a test of wealth, but a test of the heart. Whoever sacrifices the call of their Lord for the sake of worldly distractions risks losing eternal success in the Hereafter.”
Even today, a voice rises from the Kaaba:
"Say Labbaik! Recognize your Lord! Come forth, delay no more!"
