Hawzah News Agency- The Head of Imam Khomeini (RA) Educational and Research Institute Ayatollah Mahmoud Rajabi, in a series of scientific and educational meetings on the Geometry of Power in the Islamic System, which was held in the assembly hall of the Imam Khomeini (RA) Institute in Qom, explained the theme of “An Introduction to the Theory of Velayat al-Faqih”: The theory of Guardianship of the Jurist is the best governance model in terms of theory and also in terms of practice, according to objective experience, it is the most efficient governance theory.”
The head of Imam Khomeini Educational and Research Institute (RA) added,” This theory requires a wide opportunity to be expanded and explained in detail. In this regard, one of the duties of intellectuals, thinkers, and propagandists is to explain the issue well and untie the knots of thought at the level of society, Islamic Ummah, and the international level.”
He further noted,” This theory can be presented at a level beyond the culture of the Shiites and the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT), beyond the culture of Islam, and at a global level, in keeping with the cultural atmosphere of any society.”
Guardianship of the Jurist; an innate, rational, and universal theory in desirable governance
Ayatollah Rajabi added,” If we decide to categorize this theory in a broader perspective, it can also be presented at a global level as the most efficient model in terms of theory and practice, meaning that the characteristics mentioned for the Velayat al-Faqih in terms of theory are characteristics arising from human nature, rational power, and revelational knowledge.”
He also added that what is stated in this theory, whether it is the characteristics of the Supreme Leader or other principles and foundations that are raised regarding this theory, can be developed; the statement that the late Allamah Tabatabai believes in Quranic vocabulary that these words have the power to develop.
The head of Imam Khomeini Educational and Research Institute (RA) noted,” Allamah Tabatabai (RA) has an example that if the word "lamp" is used in common language, it means something that illuminates the space, and this is applicable to all societies over time.”
A member of the Supreme Council of Seminaries said,” If the theory of the Guardianship of the Jurist is analyzed correctly, it is effective in all human societies; for instance, the characteristic of justice has a meaning in Shiite culture; but it also has a broader meaning since it is an innate matter and is relevant at the level of Islamic societies and even more widely among followers of heavenly religions, and at a broader level among humans who live based on thought, thought, and reason.”
