Indian scholar: Destruction of Jannat Al-Baqi is a crime committed by Khawarij of the time

In a speech, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Muhammad Zaki Hassan considered the destruction of Jannat Al-Baqi' Cemetery to be the result of the deviant thoughts of the Nasibis and Khawarij of the time.

Hawzah News Agency -In a speech, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Muhammad Zaki Hassan considered the destruction of Jannat Al-Baqi' Cemetery to be the result of the deviant thoughts of the Nasibis and Khawarij of the time.

Pointing out the historical background of this crime, he stated,” The holy cemetery of Al-Baqi in Medina, which hosts the tomb of the four infallible Imams (PBUT) and, according to some narrations, the burial place of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (peace be upon her), was destroyed about a century ago by a misguided sect with thoughts against the Ahl al-Bayt and in line with the thinking of the Khawarij.

This Indian scholar reminded that just as in the beginning of Islam, the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT) were faced with imprisonment and martyrdom, today too an ignorant mindset is trying to extinguish the light of remembrance of the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT) by destroying the holy graves; but this divine light cannot be destroyed.

Stating that this deviant movement, with its demagoguery slogans such as fighting polytheism and innovation, is in fact seeking to weaken the ideological foundations of the Islamic Ummah, he added,” Today, the same deviant mindset that was supported by the usurper regime of Syria in the early days of Islam, now continues to insult and destroy Islamic sanctities with the support of the Saudi regime.”

In conclusion, Hujjat al-Islam Zaki Hassan praised the free Muslims and believers who have raised their voice in protest against this crime and strongly condemned the oppressive treatment of them. He called for unity among Muslims to rebuild Jannat al-Baqi and protect the sanctity of the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT).
