Hawzah News Agency- Hujjat al-Islam Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, has described Imam Mahdi’s birth as a beacon of hope for the Islamic world during the celebration of the birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi (PBUH) held at his residence in Abuja, and emphasized the importance of recognizing the Imam as one of the fundamental principles of religion.

Referring to the efforts of the oppressors before the birth of the Imam Zaman to prevent his emergence, he said,” The oppressors even attempted to assassinate Imam Askari (PBUH) before the birth of Imam Zaman, in order to prevent the fulfillment of this divine promise.”

Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky further noted,” Knowing Imam Zaman (PBUH) must begin with knowing Allah and the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his family), because the Imam is His successor who was sent by Allah and the will of Allah plays a fundamental role in his occultation.”

The leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria also emphasized that the reign of Imam Mahdi will undoubtedly be fulfilled, since this is a divine promise.

He described the waiting period as full of ups and downs but as the most important act of worship in the present era and called on the Islamic Ummah to prepare themselves for the emergence by strengthening faith and awareness.
