Hawzah News Agency- a day after the funeral of the beloved and deceased president of Iran, Mrs. Samia Suluhu Hassan the president of Tanzania attended the embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Dar es Salaam to express her deep condolences to the Supreme Leader and the people of Iran. After expressing her heartfelt condolences to each of the Iranian officials and employees present at the embassy, she wrote and signed her condolences in the memorial book of our beloved martyrs.
In her message, she wrote, "From the bottom of my heart, I offer my condolences to the Iranian authorities for the demise of President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Amir Abdollahian. Tanzania shares this grief with the people of Iran and prays for the bereaved families.”
Mrs. Samia Suluhu Hassan then, in a short conversation with Mr. Alwandi, the honorable ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Tanzania, expressed her hope that the period of transition and establishment of the new government of Iran will pass peacefully and the new government will be formed soon.
Mr. Alwandi also reported that the president of Iran was supposed to visit Tanzania in the coming days, but unfortunately, this trip did not take place.
Mrs. Samia Suluhu Hassan, while expressing deep regret for this incident, stated,” After the establishment of the new government, we will plan the meeting of the presidents of the two countries.”
It should be noted that Youssef Makamba, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tanzania, also accompanied the President in expressing his condolences. Yusuf Makamba expressed his deep and heartfelt grief for this incident in a short speech saying,” I spoke with Mr. Amirabdollahian twice on the phone last year, the last of which took place a month ago when he was planning the visit of the Iranian president to Tanzania. We were in Tanzania and this news was tragic.”
