Senegal Ambassador

The Ambassador of Senegal to the Islamic Republic of Iran, during his trip to Qom, attended the headquarters of al-Mustafa International University and met with Hujjat al-Islam Abbasi.

Hawzah News Agency- chancellor of Al-Mustafa International University received Senegalese ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr Salio Dieng, on Saturday, September 17 during which he said,” Al-Mustafa is an international university that was formed following the Islamic Revolution and almost 97% of the students at this institute are non-Iranian.”

Pointing to the attendance of students from 130 different nationalities at Al-Mustafa University, Hujjat al-Islam Abbasi noted,” Al-Mustafa is a member in prestigious university associations in the world and its specialized fields include Islamic sciences, humanities, and language and cultural studies.”

He continued,” Our strategy is to train virtuous students with a spirit of moderation and interaction, who can be cultural ambassadors between nations and strengthen the relationship between them. The students who studied in Al-Mustafa University from Senegal were trained with the same policy and we believe that they are one of the connecting links between the two nations.”

Expressing the readiness of Al-Mustafa University to develop cooperation with academic centers in Senegal, he noted,” Al-Mustafa International University has signed memorandums of cooperation with more than two hundred academic centers worldwide, and we are ready to cooperate with academic centers of Senegal in various fields such as holding scientific seminars, exchange of professors and students as well as joint research studies.”

In this meeting, the Senegalese ambassador to Iran, Mr Salio Dieng expressed his satisfaction with visiting al-Mustafa University and with Hujjat al-Islam Dr. Abbasi and said,” We sincerely appreciate the actions and services of al-Mustafa International University to Senegalese students and learners. The representative of al-Mustafa in Senegal is respected and liked by all groups and people of this country, and this confirms the unifying strategy of al-Mustafa University.”

He considered the expansion of unity among the followers of Islamic religions to be very necessary and expressed,” the differences between religions are minor and in comparison to the commonalities, and the philosophy of approximation and calling for the unity of al-Mustafa is the same policy that can lead to the progress of all Muslims. “
