Arbaeen Cultural Congress to Host Hundreds of International Activists in Mashhad

More than 300 cultural, media, academic, and digital activists involved in Arbaeen-related work are set to take part in the 5th International Congress of Arbaeen Cultural Activists, organizers announced during a planning session in Qom.

Hawzah News Agency- At the meeting, attended by members of the Executive Headquarters of the Arbaeen Cultural Committee, officials reviewed the latest preparations and outlined newly adopted measures for the upcoming international gathering.

Hojatoleslam Ahmad Saati, head of the Executive Headquarters of the Congress, briefed participants on a recent visit to Iraq and the outcomes of discussions held with Iraqi counterparts. He said representatives from Iraq, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and several African countries have been invited.

According to Saati, the congress aims to host individuals with diverse areas of expertise from each participating country to effectively utilize the broad capacities of Arbaeen activists worldwide.

Hojatoleslam Hamid Ahmadi, head of the Cultural and Educational Committee of the Arbaeen Central Headquarters, noted that structural adjustments had been made to several commissions following coordination meetings in Baghdad.

He added that, in addition to international guests, 200 Arbaeen activists from various Iranian provinces will participate in the fifth congress to finalize cultural strategies and enhance coordination for next year’s Arbaeen World Congress.

Ahmadi called on committee heads to ensure meticulous and timely planning, stressing the need for a well-organized and meaningful event.

During the session, officials from different departments also presented reports on their ongoing activities and proposed ideas to improve the congress, optimize commission structures, and enhance cooperation among participants.

The 5th International Congress of Arbaeen Cultural Activists is scheduled to be held in the holy city of Mashhad from December 15 to 18.
