Hazrat Zainab (PBUH): A Model of Knowledge and Steadfastness
Ayatollah Saeedi highlighted the exceptional status of Hazrat Zainab (PBUH), recalling Imam Sajjad’s (PBUH) statement describing her as a scholar whose knowledge did not come through conventional study but through divinely inspired understanding. He said this reflects her unparalleled insight, courage, and elevated position within the Prophet’s household (PBUH).
He described Hazrat Zainab (PBUH) as an unmatched exemplar of cultural leadership, clarity of vision, and perseverance. Seminary students and scholars, he said, must draw from her rationality and steadfastness as they strive to promote the values of Ashura and strengthen the spirit of resistance within society.
Global Responsibilities of Seminary Students
Ayatollah Saeedi stressed that students capable of communicating in foreign languages serve as cultural envoys of the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT). They bear the responsibility of conveying the teachings of the school, defending the truth, and presenting Islam’s genuine message across international arenas. He underlined that their efforts must be grounded in strong scholarship and pure intention to achieve lasting influence.
Hazrat Zainab (PBUH) and the Continuation of the Ashura Message
Referring to Hazrat Zainab’s (PBUH) decisive role during the events of Karbala and the period of captivity, Ayatollah Saeedi noted that she confronted the tyrannies of Ibn Ziyad and Yazid with intellectual strength, unwavering faith, and eloquence. Despite the hardships endured by the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT), she shattered the gatherings of oppression and became a timeless messenger of Ashura and a teacher of resistance and insight.
Call for Wider Academic Engagement
Commending the scientific and cultural achievements of the Khorasan Seminary’s elite students, Ayatollah Saeedi urged them to strengthen their ties with international academic institutions. He emphasized that the integration of faith and knowledge is essential for shaping enduring cultural influence in the contemporary world.
