Salawat: A Thousand Blessings for One

Hawzah News Agency- Imam Sadiq(pbuh) said:

إذا ذکر النّبی صلی الله علیه و آله فاکثروا الصلاه علیه فانّه من صلّی علی النّبی صلی الله علیه و آله صلاه واحده صلی الله علیه الف صلاه فی الف صف من الملائکه ولم یبق شیء ممّا خلقه الله إلا صلّی علی العبد لصلاه الله علیه و صلاه ملائکته ، فمن لم یرغب فی هذا فهو جاهل مغرور، قد برئ الله منه و رسوله و أهل بیته

When the Prophet (pbuh) is mentioned, send abundant blessings(salawat) upon him. For whoever sends one blessing upon the Prophet, Allah sends a thousand blessings upon that person — in a thousand rows of angels. And there is nothing in all of creation that does not also invoke blessings upon that servant(person) for the blessing of Allah and His angels upon him. Whoever feels no desire for this is an ignorant and deluded person; Allah, His Messenger, and the Prophet’s Household are all free from such a one.
