Prayer Rooms Established at Cambodia’s International Airports to Serve Muslim Travelers

By directive of Cambodia’s Prime Minister and within the framework of the government’s policy to strengthen religious coexistence, prayer rooms have been inaugurated at two international airports of Cambodia to serve Muslim passengers, both domestic and international.

Hawzah News Agency- Transit stations at Techo International Airport in Takhmao City, Kandal Province, and Siem Reap–Angkor International Airport in Siem Reap Province have officially been equipped with prayer rooms for Muslim tourists.

This initiative was carried out under the supervision of Prime Minister Hun Manet, with coordination from Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, and Dr. Mao Havannall, Minister in charge of the Secretariat of State for Civil Aviation.

The establishment of these facilities reflects the policy of the Royal Government of Cambodia in promoting inclusiveness and religious harmony, while supporting the country’s development, peace, and progress in line with the Pentagon Strategy – Phase I.

At the same time, the move aligns with the Muslim Tourism Development Plan of the Ministry of Tourism, which aims to enhance Cambodia’s attractiveness as a destination and expand the growth of Muslim tourism to the Kingdom.
