Hawzah News Agency- According to reports, the leaders highlighted the deep historical, cultural and ideological ties between Iran and Pakistan, stressing the importance of expanding cooperation in political, economic and cultural fields.
President Pezeshkian expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s consistent support of the Islamic Republic and reaffirmed Tehran’s determination to strengthen collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
For his part, Prime Minister Sharif underscored Islamabad’s solidarity with Iran and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and stability, stressing that dialogue and diplomacy are the only viable means to reduce tensions and achieve lasting security.
The Iranian president also conveyed sympathy to the government and people of Pakistan over the recent floods, affirming that the Iranian nation stands by its Pakistani brothers during difficult times.
The meeting was attended by senior Pakistani officials, including Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, and several cabinet ministers.
