Hawzah News Agency- Speaking during Friday prayers in Qom province, Hojatoleslam Mohsen Sabouri Firouzabadi dismissed Washington's repeated threats against Iran, stating that the US has become trapped in Iran's power equation.
"America finds itself ensnared in the dilemma of Iran's strength," the cleric said. "Iran is not a nation that can be brought to its knees with a few empty threats, nor are its infrastructures so fragile as to be crippled by a single strike."
He further cautioned that Persian Gulf littoral states, due to their heavy reliance on energy infrastructure, would suffer the greatest damage in the event of any military confrontation. "Any action against Iran's infrastructure represents a strategic suicide for America and its regional allies," he emphasized.
The senior cleric pointed to Washington's pattern of issuing severe threats since the Islamabad understanding between the Iranian and American presidents, only to repeatedly retreat under various pretexts—a behavior he said exposes America's impotence in the face of the Islamic Republic's power.
Imam Sajjad's Teachings on Divine Refuge
In his first sermon, Sabouri Firouzabadi elaborated on the twentieth supplication of Sahifa al-Sajjadiyya, describing God as humanity's refuge in hardships, sorrows, and deprivations. He urged worshippers to place their hope and trust solely in God, noting that the supplication teaches believers to seek well-being before calamity, self-sufficiency before need, and guidance before misguidance.
Call for Strategic Endowments
Marking the occasion of Waqf (endowment) Day, the Friday Imam called on benefactors to align their charitable endowments with the genuine needs of the county. He identified healthcare infrastructure, cultural activities, youth marriage assistance, roadside mosques, and a dedicated facility for the women's Islamic seminary as the most pressing priorities for the Kahak region.
