Iran’s Leader Appoints Mohsen Rezaei as Representative to Supreme National Security Council

In a decree issued by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, Dr. Mohsen Rezaei has been appointed as the Leader’s representative to Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC).

Hawzah News Agency- The appointment was announced following the acceptance of the resignation of the former representative, Dr. Mohammad-Baqer Zolqadr.

In his decree, the Leader praised Rezaei’s valuable experience, describing him as a veteran of the proud era of the eight-year Sacred Defense. The decree expressed hope for Rezaei’s complete success in fulfilling this significant responsibility.

The Leader also extended his gratitude to Zolqadr for his round-the-clock efforts during his tenure.

Meanwhile, Presidential Communications Director Seyyed Mehdi Tabatabaei confirmed that following Zolqadr’s resignation, President Masoud Pezeshkian has appointed Mohsen Rezaei as the new Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council.
