Hawzah News Agency – Speaking in a meeting with the governor of Mazandaran, the senior scholar highlighted the divine blessings bestowed upon Iran, pointing to the Caspian Sea and the Alborz Mountain Range in northern Iran as examples. He praised the people of Mazandaran as noble, loving, and selfless, noting that they have never placed a heavy burden on the government.
Ayatollah Javadi Amoli contrasted materialistic governments with the Islamic system, stating: “In materialistic systems, orders are imposed from above and the people are expected to simply obey. But in the Qur’anic culture and Islamic governance, the foundation is cooperation and assistance. The Prophet and the Infallible Imams would say: ‘I am the Imam, I began this task, now let us do it together.’ This is the essential difference between Islamic governance and other systems.”
He further underlined Iran’s deep-rooted civilization and originality, saying: “Iran is a great and noble nation with history, geography, and cultural foundations. If you search across America, you will not find traces of originality, civilization, or authentic art. Today, we are great—and there is no reason why we should not acknowledge our greatness. This is not arrogance, but gratitude for God’s blessings, which in turn increases our responsibility to appreciate God.”
