Hawzah News Agency- Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Hojatoleslam Reza Deylami highlighted the special significance of the Arbaeen period, noting that in addition to being a major political, cultural, and social occasion, it serves as a platform for global solidarity against oppression.
“The Arbaeen Walk began as a popular movement and has now become an international media outlet conveying the civilization-building messages of the Husseini movement to all corners of the world,” he said. “This march is not only a message for Muslims but also for all freedom-seekers worldwide, proving that the pure Islam of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), despite threats and hostility, continues to advance dynamically.”
Hojatoleslam Deylami emphasized that Arbaeen has strengthened bonds among Muslims, Ahl al-Bayt lovers, and freedom-seekers globally, reflecting the cultural, spiritual, and political progress of the Islamic Ummah.
“Especially in the current conditions of the Islamic world, Arbaeen is a manifestation of the will moving towards the realization of Ashura civilization, aiming at the emergence of the Promised Mahdi (AS) and standing against global arrogance,” he added.
Referring to the ongoing crimes in Gaza, Deylami compared the resistance of the oppressed to the stand of Imam Hussein (AS) against the tyranny of his time. He stressed that silence in the face of such crimes is a betrayal of pure Islam and the sacrifice of the Master of Martyrs (AS).
The Cultural Deputy warned that the enemies of Islam are actively engaged in cultural and media warfare, seeking to distance Muslim youth from the values of the Islamic Revolution and Ashura. He called for utilizing Arbaeen’s great capacity to deliver the message of Ashura globally, creating a strong cultural front against hostile propaganda.
Deylami also announced that 30 processions from Golestan province will take part in Arbaeen in Iraq this year, while ceremonies will be held in over 22 locations across the province.
He noted that during the “Deldeldegan” program, more than 450 processions will operate in service, cultural, social, and Quranic fields, aiming to both serve pilgrims and promote the teachings of Ashura and the discourse of the Islamic Revolution.
The central slogan of this year’s Arbaeen is “I abide by the covenant.” According to Deylami, the goal is to renew a collective pledge of abstinence from arrogance and strengthen the global uprising against oppression.
