Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at an educational gathering of the Holy Shrine, Hojatoleslam Hadi Ilyasi described the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (AS) as “unparalleled in the world in many aspects.” He noted that despite the dominant global media discourse being centered on materialism and moral corruption, “a population of several tens of millions from different countries gathers in Karbala in unity, serving one another without regard for material benefit.”
He stressed that Arbaeen has a Quranic model, explaining: “The result of this great movement is the construction of a cultural civilization in today’s world. Building a divine civilization on earth is not easy, and enduring its hardships is essential.”
Highlighting the need for guidance on the path of monotheism, Ilyasi said: “For the establishment of monotheism, there must be leadership that can rightly guide people. God has sent various prophets and the family of infallibility and purity, and people must rally around these guides.”
The cleric added that love for divine saints, prophets, and infallible Imams is a form of spiritual capital that draws hearts toward them. “When the Imam of the Time (AS) reappears, he will gather people with this spiritual capital, and as he leans on the wall of the Kaaba, hearts will turn toward him,” he said.
Concluding, Ilyasi said the Arbaeen pilgrimage manifests these spiritual values, as millions of pilgrims walk the path to Karbala despite all its difficulties.
