Grand Ayatollah Shobeiri Zanjani has expressed his condolences on the tragic accident of the coal mine in Tabas city, which caused the death and injury of a group of miners.

In the name of Allah, the Merciful

The tragic incident of the coal mine in Tabas, which caused the death and injury of a group of hardworking miners, caused great sorrow and pain.

While offering our condolences to the noble people of Iran, especially the bereaved families, we ask God Almighty to reward the deceased and give patience to the survivors, and I also ask for speedy recovery to the injured and those affected by this incident.

It is hoped that with the good planning of the authorities, such tragic incidents will be prevented in the future.

According to the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS), the death toll in the Tabas mine explosion incident has risen.

At least 35 people were killed in the incident, the Iranian Red Crescent Society said on Monday morning as the rescue operations are still underway.

17 other miners were injured in the incident, 10 of whom are still in medical centers for receiving treatment.

Dozens of miners were killed following a gas explosion in a coal mine in Iran's South Khorasan province.

The incident occurred at around 21:00 local time on Saturday in one of the mines of Tabas city.
