Hawzah News Agency- Senior cleric Grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi emphasized the necessity to spread justice and prevent oppression in the world.

Hawzah News Agency- Senior Shia scholar Grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi, in a message to the World Congress of Imam Reza (PBUH), which was read at this congress, emphasized the necessity to spread justice and prevent oppression in the world.

The text of his message is as follows:

In the name of God

First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to all those involved in the World Congress of Honoring the Personality of Hazrat Ali ibn Musa al-Reza (PBUH), which was held with the efforts of the Honorable Astan Quds Custodianship, and I hope that this gathering will be an effective step in the way of recognizing and spreading the knowledge of Ahl Al-Bayt especially Hazrat Ali ibn Musa al-Reza (PBUH).

Today's world and the relationships that govern it, the obvious inequality in the enjoyment of human rights by all, as well as the widespread cruelty of the powerful and arrogant over the oppressed in the world, is the most important reason and a sign of the world's need for efforts to spread justice and prevent oppression.

Today, the oppression is not in disguise, it is taking place openly. The situation of the oppressed people of Gaza, whose most basic human rights have been violated and all kinds of crimes have been committed against them, is one of the most obvious and heinous examples of oppression in the history of mankind.

The importance of justice, avoiding cruelty, and respecting human rights are among the basic teachings of Islam and the school of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). The Almighty God made one of the main missions of His Prophet to be the implementation of justice and the fight against oppression, and this has been mentioned everywhere in the Qur'an as well as in the words of the Holy infallible (PBUT); it has been addressed in different texts until the point in the words of Imam Reza (PBUH) which states that the Muslim criterion is non-oppression of people and relatives.

Although a lot has been said about justice, it seems that the subject of justice is a main ideal for humanity and the government of the Promised Imam, and a discussion about the truth of its elements and components, especially the field investigation and analysis of the obstacles to the expansion of public justice and the fight against oppressors and manifestations of oppression, relying on the noble and enlightened teachings of the Qur'an and Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT), require more scientific research and effort. Also, I suggest that a committee be formed to follow up and realize these studies along with this congress so that by using the global capacity of Imam Reza (PBUH) and his holy shrine and communication with thinkers and influential people, the practical implementation of the slogan of this gathering will be realized.

In the end, once again, I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to all the organizers and participants of this congress, which has been blessed with the name of Hazrat Ali ibn Musa al-Reza (PBUH), and I hope that our name will be placed among the pure Shiites of that holy Imam and the founders of the Mahdavi government (may God bless him and grant him peace). May Almighty God make us all successful in our behavior and speech.

Peace be upon you and may God have mercy on you

Qom - Nasser Makarem Shirazi
