Hawzah News Agency- The Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom issued a message of condolence on demise of Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad Reza Ashtiani, the late deputy of this high seminary institution, the text of which is as follows:

The demise of Ayatollah Haj Sheikh Mohammadreza Ashtiani, the servant of Quran and Ahl al-Bayt (PBUH), a devoted scholar, caused great pain and sorrow. During his blessed life, he provided lasting services in various scientific, social and cultural fields, and for many years, in the guise of representing the people of Qom in the Islamic Council, he pursued public demands and realized revolutionary values.

Brilliant records of campaigns in the Islamic movement and holy defense, diverse and sincere activities in the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom, his simple life, humanitarianism, revolutionary and state-oriented action, as well as scientific and Quranic services of that elite scholar in the seminary and university, are valuable legacy for that noble deceased.

The Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom offer their condolences to the demise of this faithful servant of Islam and the Islamic revolution to Hazrat Baqiyat Allah al-Azam, the supreme leader of the revolution, the great Shia sources of emulation, the seminaries, the noble people of Qom and his respected family, may God Almighty have mercy and forgiveness for that mujahid scholar.
