Artists and filmmakers of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Syria will cooperate in the context of the 17th International Resistance Film Festival.

Hawzah News Agency- A high-ranking media delegation from Syria headed by Ahmed Zawa, Assistant Minister of Culture of Syria, met with Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini, CEO of the Revolution and Holy Defense Cinema Association, Jalal Ghaffari Qadir, Secretary of the 17th International Resistance Film Festival, Ahmad Reza Darvish, the famous writer and director of Iranian cinema, and Mohammad Ali Momeni, the secretary of the international section of the festival.

In this meeting, which was held at Iran’s Cinema Town of the Revolution and Holy Defense, the parties discussed joint cooperation in the field of film productions, documentaries, short films, TV series, which express the common issues of the region and the Middle East as well as the axis of Islamic resistance.

Later, Ahmad Zawa emphasized the importance of producing joint films and series by the two countries and said, "It is a necessity to express the reality that the Syrian country and the Syrian people are facing during the terrorist war, the aim of which was to erase the identity and destroy the Syrian civilization, and the film industry has a purposeful role in conveying the real picture of what is taking place in Syria and the various consequences of the West's coercive actions against the Syrian people in order to confront the misleading Western media propaganda.

The 17th International Film Festival of Resistance under the initiative of the Revolutionary Cinema Society and Fat’h Narration Cultural Foundation will be held in the main sections including Holy Defense, Narrative Generation, Pen Narrative, Criticism and Research, and the World Without Israel in March of this year in the Persian Gulf.
