Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Mehdi Esmaeili welcomed exchanging cultural and artistic works between Iran and Italy, saying that Iran and Italy are two countries with a long-standing cultural history and have significant civilization and culture commonalities.

Hawzah News Agency – Esmaeili made the remarks in a meeting with Italian Ambassador to Iran Giuseppe Perrone.

Referring to the good relations between Iran and Italy, he stressed developing cultural ties with Italy.

We are ready to have joint cooperation with Italy in all cultural and artistic fields, including film, music, theater, books, etc, he added.

Cultural exchanges between Iranian and Italian artists lead to a better introduction of the ancient civilization of Iran and Italy, and holding cultural weeks and days between the two countries is one of these cases.

He appreciated the Italian Embassy approach to expand cultural relations between the two countries.

Meanwhile, Perrone said Iran and Italy are two countries with a long-standing cultural and civilizational history with cultural and artistic heritage and have always had influential talks.

The Italian Embassy emphasizes developing cultural relations with other countries, including the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He called on the Iranian Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance to support Italy in hosting the 2030 Expo.

He stressed maintaining joint cultural and artistic cooperation with Iran namely in the fields of films, music, etc.
