The General Secretary of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought said: “Ayatollah Imam Musa Sadr after 12 years of study and by migrating to Lebanon was able to successfully unify all the divine religions and sects and become the source of their unification."

Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) - Today, 12 Jan 2017, Ayat. Mohsen Araki, at the event for the release of the book, ‘Seerah Akhlaqi and Tarbiyati Imam Musa Sadr’ [The Ethical and Training Model of Imam Musa Sadr], which took place at the Imam Khumayni (ra) Institute said: ‘The Sadr family are one of the most unique families amongst the scholastic families of the Islamic World. They have served Islam and humanity for over 300 years in an unequivocal manner. They always were at the front lines of those who wished to enliven and resurrect the Islamic Ummah and the Eastern World.’

 

The GS added, ‘The bequests that this great and unmatched family has left behind during the length of these 3 centuries, and the vast cultural and academic services that they have produced have transformed this family into one with special merits in contemporary history. Especially during the last decades, the great personalities that have come from this great family in the Iraq, Lebanon and Iran have been exceptional and effective and played leading and influential roles in the contemporary movements of those countries.’

 

Ayat. Araki, by introducing Imam Musa Sadr as being part of the Sadr family, a jurist, philosopher and an adequate sociologist, while also being an expert in the field of Islamic Sciences; possessed many works and worthy services in the area of unity and not only Islamic Unity but also unity between divine religions.              

 

The teacher of the seminary added, ‘Imam Musa Sadr in many places of his works mentions the issue of unity and said, “As long as my and your God is one, hence me and you are also one; it should not be the case of apples and oranges.” In another place he said, “ When we are one, we can then build a society and form a society that is united.”’
